I fished Vega yesterday afternnoon near the island for a few hours. There was about 1' of snow covering a couple inches of slush on top of a couple feet of ice. MESSY! It was sunny and warm. I ended up catching several nice bows between 14 and 18" and several smaller ones on a orange colored ratfinkee tipped with a piece of crawler. I was fishing 1' off the bottom in 15 FOW. It should only get better as March approaches. At least that is the way it has been in the past.
