This is one of those posts that help you figure out where ?not? to go. Unless you are a bird watcher.

Walden Ponds in Boulder are still feeling the affects of the drought and looks more like a birdbath rather than good bassin?. Water levels are real low in all the ponds, merely inches deep in most places. Covered the area for a few hours. Saw lots of birds but only really small fish.

The boardwalk to the north of Cottonwood Marsh is a lot more interesting when the water level is higher and frogs are everywhere. (Typically the water is under the boardwalk)

Had to head over to nearby Sawhill Ponds to beat off the skunk. Caught this fish as soon as I crossed the boundary fence. Purple flake senko twitched on the bottom. The only bass bite I got all day and ?sight-fished? him out the weed bed. Southwest of that tree there in the background.  ;)

15?er bass?not a trophy but a nice confidence builder in November.

Thanks guys. Also note the park ranger was out there (Sawhill) checking to make sure people were not wading. They are on New Zealand mudsnail alert and enforcing this pretty seriously.

The guy had binoculars and walking the entire area rather than the usual parking lot check.
