first off let me admit that i know nothing about fishing walleye in colorado. i know what lakes have them but have never gone for it. my walleye knowledge was learned in canada and revoloves around structure.

my question is, how do you aproach walleye in these front range mud bowl lakes? where the hell are they without all of the classic walleye structure? boyd lake is the perfect example.

Find the Shad and you will find the walleye! Every summer up at Glendo once the water level starts to drop steadily the shad start to suspend 15-25 feet deep over the channels. Thats when everyone breaks out the planer boards and the crank baits. Deep Divers, leadcore and snap weights are all effective ways to get your crank in front of them.
