when i first started flyfishing i purchased a eagleclaw fly rod iam guesing around $30 for the rod and $20 for the reel. iam sure their are those who will tell you you have to have a sage or orvis rod but when it comes down to it its the fly the fish sees not the rod. just for getting start due what you can afford if you like flyfishing than great buy the better rods. i have even bilt my own rod. but when it comes down to a flyrod that is always in my car ready to go it is one i piad under $50 for. the comapny is no longer in business and i cant remeber the brand name but i have caught more fish on that rod than any of the other more price counter parts good luck.
