Water depth Ft. Collins ponds

That's like saying ice can never get warm

No need to be a dick. haha And obviously if those are constantly fed by snow melt from the mountains, they wouldn't have as high of water temps compared to other ponds.

bass are "warm water" fish, they live in places that never has snow.

Let me rephrase the OPs question.

"Since the ponds I've been looking at are fairly shallow and have little structure, what are their (bass) habits in the heat of summer? Or, since Colorado has alot of snow melt, does the temperature stay cool enough in these shallow waters that the behavior of the bass does not change?"

Basically, do shallow waters in Colorado differ from other, hotter places due to runoff?

There are bass all over the front range which gets tons of snow so that's not a correct statement at all, I would imagine that the water in those ponds is pretty warm and you should be able to see some bass in shallows just walking around. I don't know how deep those ponds are but I would target the 2-6ft range right now, if nothing there work the bottom you gotta search for em
