Fished waterton in the rain for about a couple hours today. Caught 3 rainbows and two browns on little tiny panther martins. Could not catch anything on the fly rod but man were they attacking the panthers today. had the best luck with a little yellow and red guy with a gold blade. Don't know why but I always catch more fish on over cast days with gold. Canyon was flowing pretty low. I was fishing this little pool up just past were the big water pipe crosses the road. any way there was a little sand bar there and I 'd cast out reel in real slow across that sand bar and the fish were crushing it. I had one brown chase it up onto the sand so far that I thought he was going to beach himself. The canyon sure is pretty this time of year any way it was better than staying at home watching foot ball. I love to fly fish but I'm not to proud to break out the spinners or bait when that is what is working. Oh yeah nothing real bi the biggest rainbow was probably 12 inches or so.

You are a true die hard going out in today's weather. I love that pool you are talking about. I fish the same way. I use the fly rod, but when that doesn't work, I whip out the little daughter's telescoping spin rod and use whatever lure works. I've been dying to get out to wateron lately, but work is getting in the way.
