Spray WD 40 on fishing lures

Salmon fishermen in the Pacific Northwest spray their lures with WD-40 because it attracts fish and disguises the human odor that can scare them off and keep them from biting. You can increase the catch on your next fishing trip by bringing a can of WD-40 along with you and spraying it on your lures or live bait before you cast. But first check local regulations to make sure the use of chemical-laced lures and bait is legal in your state.

I would think it would have the opposite effect.

Okay guys, little challenge here. Everyone throw some wd40 in your tackle box and head out in the next 7 days. Spray down, toss out, and post up pix of your WD40 fish!!

If you're honest, and I know you ALL are, just take a pic of your WD40 catches this week, with a can of WD40 in the pic, and the largest of fish of any species will win a prize. I'll donate the prize. A collection of big jerk baits and some other assorted fishing tackle. Pix of the prize forthcoming.

I tie my flies. My stink has to be all over my flies.

They still catch lots of fish.
