Its a great clinic. I have been there for the last 5 years. There are so many tiers that one day is not enough. You can get discount ($2) coupons at most of the areas shops and somewhere I saw on line. Maybe the Rocky Mountain Fly Board. They usually have a place to try out rods. Food, bucket raffles, and the West Denver TU Chapter raffle is also available. I think this year's raffle has a couple of bamboo rods, a pair of reels, a GPS unit, flies and a very nice case. See you all there.

I'll be tying there too at the BPS table - I admit, I'm just a person who has too much fun tying. I'm having a hard time figuring out what I want to tie while there, but I'm working on it!

Does any one know who will be tying in the theater and when? Please post a schedule if there is one.
The schedule of when has not been defined the schedule of who is fairly defined. It is on the page kimo posted

http://www.westdenvertu.org/Time Limited HTML/FlyTyingClinic08.html

Besides the ones posted; Pat Dorsey might be doing a demo in the tying theater.

The above link also list all the tiers who plan to be there.

This event will be happening even if it snows.

Wow, 66 tiers ( myself and others on this forum included). And all for 10 bucks, how can you beat that? The ammount of knowledge and talent there is amazing!

I'll be sporting a name tag of sorts of my user id/name so say "Howdy!" if you spot me... you can do the same if you want and we'll just have one big time!

Also, I may bring some tying materials to swap... stuff that I have a gazillion lifetime's worth of. Meet me at the entrance at, say, noon, if you wanna trade some of your Several Lifetime Stuff. Noon til, say, 12:15 and we're back in for more tying...

Was a lot of fun meeting everybody there. Spent most of my day at my vise.

Darn, sure wish we carried the Nor-Vise at BPS, I coulda sold about 10 of them!

I didn't tie really fancy flies, just the same caddis nymph I have before, but I did get a lot of interest when people figured out *how* I tie them. I saw a lot of raised eyebrows and a lot of 'aha' reactions.
And it's fun to show people how to touch-dub on a rotary - instead of having to twist the dubbing on the thread, the thread spins and the dubbing wraps itself up. Very fun to do.

And I'm still tying with cat hair, too! T'was a blast, and for those of you who couldn't make it, there's always next year!

I was wondering if/when pics would be posted, thanks! I'll tell ya what, ALL the volounteers including the tyers were exceptionally wonderful. Felt like "one of the gang" all day. Hopefully they will have me back!
West Denver TU put on one heck of a clinic, Bill's efforts need to be recognised big time, as well as the TU members who helped out, outstanding job! There we so many people going through there, stopping to chat, look at my flies, learn the patterns ( a few even had notebooks they were keeping notes in), tied my butt of all day just to keep up! The wealth of talent Bill and others brought in was extrordinary!

Had to save 2 of the pix i was in off that site :)
