Rifle and harvey you'll need an 8' plank to get on the ice, its been warm over here. Theres about 6" of slush on both with 8" of snow on top. Ruedi...bring a snow machine or a 4wheeler with chains. You might get stuck with the 4wheeler.

For numbers (60+) harvey, but they are small (3-5") with only a few being eater size. If your looking for size and to take some home Rifle's a better bet. PM Sent

Hey, WS...

Do you happen to know the average growth rate of perch in those lakes?

How long will it take those 5"ers to become 8-10?

I would think its fairly quick, the problem with Harvey is it's so over populated with them. In the summer you can float over the shallow flats and see literally 10's of thousands of 2-5" fish swimming around. The whole bottom of the lake looks like is moving! Harvey went trough the same thing with crappie about 20 years ago. You could go up there and hammer 12-16" crappies, over the years they started getting smaller and smaller, but you could catch 100's a day. You could float by the weeds on the north end and see thousands of 4-6" silver dollars swimming around. Its a weird lake with not alot of management. The pike are the only thing that seems to do well in there, maybe because the CPW hand feeds them thousands of slimmers a year and they have an endless supply of little perch!
