So I just found out that Ol Santa Margarita put out another teener and it was the new lake record. Santa Margarita is an amazing place and a jewel there on near the Coast of Central CA,by far my favorite place I have fished for bass in my lifetime so far.

In the last couple of years it has put some 13#'s and the lake record has been broken a few times. The crazy thing is the lake is filled with Northern Strain not Florida's.

Nice!!! Iwasn't sure about the Northern strain part, did some checking and it is. Wish they got that big around here.

That would be an understatement. The MA state record largemouth is the largest pure northern strain LMB ever recorded.

A giant northern LMB was captured and released at Canyon Lake, AZ a few years back that would have bested the mark by a very slim margin, and been the new AZ state record to boot, but the angler chose to release it.

Atta boy. ;)
