Im asking lots of newbie questions but have never heard of spawn sacs!Just wondering if anyone can explain to me what they are, where I can get them, etc....

spawn sacs are eggs mainly from kokanne salmon or trout and u buy this fabric stuff from sportsmans or any tackle shop and put some eggs on the fabric wrap it around so its like in a ball and tie it with thread the thread is separate from the fabric but its cheap to make and works excellent for lake trout

You can tie an egg loop knot and loop it to that. You can also use thread to wrap it to your hook.

There are a few on here that use them so you may ask them as I only know how they do it in Canada.

salmon eggs are difffernt, i like using eggs from the spawning female kokanee, i usually use a split shot then a leader with a decent treble , the lakers , browns, bows will hammer them threw the ice
