When I'm fishing ponds/lakes, I have a few things I may put on the other rod.
What do you use?

These are some of the things that have worked for me.

1. a whooly bugger under a bobble
2. a plastic worm rigged wacky under a bobber (just above weeds works best)
3. a hair-jig under a bobber
4. Those giant green worms
5. Gulp maggots

All these (except for the worms) work best if there are some ripples on the water.

Just bored and wondered how everyone (who uses 2nd rod), rigged their other rod.

I almost always just fish with one rod (at a time) but sometimes I'll fish a senko on a second rod in my boat- I just throw it out there and move around like I normally would with the trolling motor, fishing a tube or another senko. It works well. I like the senko for a second rod because you don't have to worry about it getting hung up as you drift along.

I fish mostly rivers. I rig my fly rod with the most likely dry and my spinning rod with a panther martin. I mostly fish spinners until the trout start feeding on the surface and then switch to the fly rod.

A heavy weight and some bells, so I don't lose it to a fish when I'm not paying attention!
