I have been fishing a moderate size lake on the western slope throughout the summer and catching lots of good sized bass. Fishing has been very consistent until a couple of weeks ago. Due to daily rains and cool nights, the water temperature dropped from 78 degrees to 66 degrees. Big Change. But the interesting thing is the bass seemed to have disappeared. Since the drop in temp I can only find a few very small bass. Panfish are still hitting like crazy though. As the water temp rises during the day, ( up to 72 degrees ) the bass still have lock jaw. Any one have any thoughts about this or experienced this before? Turn over on this lake typically doesn't happen until late October. ???

I haven't been catching **** bass wise either the last few weeks, I think it has to do with all the rain and colder weather. But then again what do I know?:D
