I am an avid flyfisherman, but new to Colorado. Where in the front range is a good spot to fly fish in may and June?

The closest: Waterton Canyon, where you can fish the South Platte and check out the bighorn sheep. Watch for rattlesnakes when it gets warmer.

Or head to Deckers, for really large, really smart trout.

It depends what you like fishing streams/rivers or ponds/lakes also what species you like to target. However Colorado is legend for some of its hatches if you follow the hatch from reports you will know where to fish.

Big Thompson Canyon - highway 34 - from Loveland to Estes Park. We have 3 fly shops up here, the Estes Angler, Kirk's, and Scot's.

Have the fish come back down to the main Deckers area? The last I heard around Deckers was that if you wanted fish you had to hike into the canyon. I would love to see the action come back down. I used to kill them right by that bridge (Trumble I thnk it's called).
