Hey everybody, just want to know where you all have caught or seen the biggest fish in along time. For me both experiences were at good 'ol Lowell Ponds. Sure it sucks now but a couple years back i caught the biggest catfish of my teenage life there with some stink bait. On a different topic, I grew up around lowell ponds, it was my first primary fishin hole. I was fishing from shore one day (by the dock) and out of nowhere appears this huge cat (bought two, three feet in length) that scared the crap out of me! lol it just swam right up to me and starred at me for a good ten seconds and calmly swam off. I wish i would of netted him looking back at it now. I've seen some crazy sh** in Lowell Ponds. One time, when i was about ten i was fishing in the pond that is located right next to the parking lot(the one now blocked with a gate) and in the water i see a huge looking fish hard to tell how big it was but it was absolutely huge! looked like a crocidile! i'm serious! it had purple spots on it and a green body with jagged teeth.. Yeah i said purple spots. This thing scared me so bad i didn't go back for weeks. To this day i don't know what the hell kind of fish it was, lol! well hoped you like my fish stories, let's hear yours.

The biggest fish I have ever caught is a 24 pound channel cat from the Colorado River. Took me 20 minutes to land it on 20 pound test line.
I have hooked and seen cats in the river considerably bigger than this. But they know all the snags like the back of their fins and they get into them and go bye bye pretty fast.
The biggest fish I have ever hooked may have been that monster mackinaw I hooked at Ruedi Reservoir ice fishing in 2004, It may have been 35 plus pounds before it spit the hook close to the hole.     :'( :'( :'( :'(

The biggest I've ever caught that comes to mind is a 17 lb. brown trout out of the gunnison gorge. I remember one time (the same trip) I was reeling in a 5" brown that hit my panther martin spinner and a big ole' rainbow came up out of nowhere and destroyed it, I set the hook, and crack! my ugly stick rod was broken. I estimate this rainbow at 36-40" range. Pretty darn big, I'm guessing at least 20 lbs +

I was fishing at elevenmile res. It was a day I will never forget because me and a buddy caught well over 200 lbs of pike that day and a 5 lb trout. This was when the res. was real low. (2 yrs ago) Anyway the wind was coming from the west like it likes to do and I decided to go to a spot that has a little current when the wind is like that and I have had some luck with some big fish. (This is after we had already caught over 200 lbs of fish. 10 lb after 10 lb) Anyway I decided to throw on a black spinnerbait with a trailer that I like to use. So I throw out into this spot and start to slow roll the spinnerbait all of a sudden there is a ton of slack in my line. I immedatly start to reel the slack up fast and set the hook. Fish on! But she doesn't feel very big so I start to reel her in real fast almost like you would a snaged stick. Then we saw each other. Holy moly! Never had a chance she had completely engulfed the spinnerbait she turned and dink she was gone. Cut the line about 15 feet from the boat. Biggest fish I have ever seen and I have caught fish to 18 lbs there. Biggest pike I ever saw somewhere in the 30 lb range. HUGE!!!!!

I saw a pike of that class while ice fishing at 11-Mile. He came into our holes and just sat there looking at our tiny jigs then swam away. I found a dead Pike at Spinny that was 43".

I had a friend catch a 45 lb Flathead on a live Bluegill in eastern Kansas where I grew up.

Caught a 250lb Goliath Grouper (Jew Fish) In april my 9 year old boy caught a 44" Snook at New Pass in Sarasota close to 30 lbs. The guides said one of the largest Snook they had seen in ten years even made the Sarasota paper.

Biggest fish I ever saw was my old man caught the Upper Rouge River record Chinook salmon at 46 lb. 12 oz. My best was a monster grass carp that I caught out of the pond behind the Marie Calander's at like 2nd and Union in Lakewood. I was practicing with my new 5 weight fly rod with just the last 3 foot of leader and a hook and some wet bread balled on. The fish took my bait and for the next 45 to 60 minutes it thrashed around the pond including at 1 point kicking against the far bank. Finally waded into the pond to pull him out, both he and I were exausted. The fish was well over 36"s long and 30+ pounds and fat as can be. No clue about exacts because I was just a punk kid fishing a local pond for practice, but I will never forget that fish. HUGE

My biggest fish came about five years ago. It was a 9.5 foot sturgon. Im not sure what it would have weighed but i would guess over 200 lbs. We were fishing whole shad that were at least three lbs below the Boniville Dam on the Columbia River in Washington. Ive never been so tired after fighting a fish those monsters are soooo strong. He even came completley out of the water on one jump. I have some pics somewhere ill pst them if i can find them.
