Is there any place within an hour or two of Colorado Springs where I can catch substantial numbers of decent sized panfish (bluegill, crappie, perch) for eating.   Trout are good, but I'm not fond of stockers.  I know both Quail Lake and Pikeview have panfish, but they seem kind of dirty.

brush hollow south on 115 near penrose has tons of gills no real biguns but you can get into a boat load of 6 inchers at times and there are lso green sunfish, yellow perch, and crappie.

good luck and help thin the gills if you can!

now with the water so low id try down by the dam and up both side from the dam. there might be some of the brush pilkes that are close to shore and those would be good also

Thanks for the advice. Along the dam worked fine, however the bluegills weren't quite as big as I had hoped. (Many of them were 4-5 inches) They certainly beat the 2 inch sunfish at Sinton Pond though!
