Which is better lowell ponds or jim baker reservoir?

I have only fished JB once. Caught nada.
Lowell I have caught some small gills and I have seen a yellow bullhead caught out of there.
Bass.... I have seen FCTH and it appears they are listed as a present specie in both... May want to look a bit to the south southwest though.

I haven't fished Jim Baker in a couple of years but and when i did it was early spring mostly. the riprap area drops off really far really fast! they will hold a lot of smaller fish along the rocks up shallow with some bigger ones roaming out deeper. it has made for some really good days fishing for smallies with a couple of kicker lmbs thrown in. Wish i could put a kayak out there to fish the giant rubble piles that are just out of reach.
