i just ordered a minn kota powerdrive 80# and two optima batteries. i need some advise on a good charger. it looks as though you can spend as much as you like on one if you care to. i am looking for the best bang for the buck on a 3 bank charger that will do the batteries some justice. i would like it to be water proof. it doesnt need to be super fast. as i always charge over night. the bass pro one looks nice so does the guest. i would love to know what you all use and what you like and dont like.

I use a minnkota mk 330 and love it.. charge rate is very quick and also serves as a battery maintainer. very reasonable on price and quality is alwaya the best,,

I have a pro-sport from cabela's that has worked great for 2 plus years. also maintains the batteries. I would bet they run quite a bit cheaper than the name brands.

are they both water proof? are you running them with a 24 volt setup. how are your banks set up and how are you charging them?

the basspro is made by promariner. I have a 2 bank one and it is a great charger. Bass and Walleye boat mag did an article on chargers last year, maybe you can find it at the Library? very informative and points out some that you want to stay away from.
