Wiper on the Fly

Well had 45 minutes to fish during lunch today and decided to try for some Carp on the fly. No luck with the Carp but I did catch my first ever Wiper on the fly! Only 14.5 inches, but full of fury! I am going to have to try and catch them on purpose with the flail stick now.

Confirmed Wiper and not White bass because it had two patches on the tongue! Took an olive damselfly nymph of all things!

Congrats! Awesome stuff, still haven't caught a wiper in this state yet!

Thanks! Always fun catching the unexpected. I live within walking distance of this lake so I fish it alot, and have caught a few small wiper on Jerkbaits. Was not expecting a wiper to take a carp fly though!
