I'm sure most of you have heard by now about the interview our Prez gave to a German newspaper saying that the best moment of his presidency was catching a perch in his private pond:

Kinda sad that is his highlight, but I'm sure us fisherman can understand how a little solitude with the fish can be memorable. Without trying to be too political (I admit I'm not one of the hardcore 28%), I have to ask. Isn't that a huge perch? I mean even for Texas, that would be an OK sized bass.

Oh, let's not make this into a political feeding frenzy.

"Because Bild could not immediately furnish English quotes, Bush's comments were translated from the German. The paper said the White House planned to release an authorised English version of the interview on Monday. "

I'm pretty sure that it was mis-translated.  I remember hearing something about him catching a big bass a while back.  If it really was a perch it would be almost double the size of the world record yellow perch that was just over 4 pounds.
