Looking for a spinning rod (medium or med-heavy) that will break down to less than 30". Unlike fly rods, packable (3 or 4 piece) spin rods seem to be fairly rare.

You might research " Ugly Stix GX2 travel", & see if that will work.
I have 6.5' medium, nothin fancy, a fair bass rod, just what you would expect. Breaks to 22" in (4) pcs.

A few blank makers do produce travel blanks if you're included to build yourself. You can cehck mudhole.com to see some of them or do some google searching.

Thanks! I found that one (med 6.5' 4pc) on Amazon for $40. Right in my price range and will fit in my suitcase. Should be perfect for saltwater fishing off the dock and reef.
