Headed northwest and wound up at Flaming Gorge Res in Wyoming last week, fishing for Burbot. Hired a good guide and fished two nights 4 pm to midnight. Moderate action, both nights. 10 fish 1st day, 6 the second, but the fish on second day were bigger. Fishing in 18-20' of water. Deadsticks with glow jigs and glow tubes, with sucker meat. Jigged with glow jigs and tubes, but biggest fish came on PK glow spoon and Nasty Tackle glow spoon with rattle and sucker meat. Found it weird that there was only 8-12" of ice. Even some open water nearby. Largest was just short of 29". Guide had the new Garmin thing, so we watched fish come towards bait.

Their nickname is "poor man's lobster." We ate half of what I caught and they were white, flakey and delicious. They are a freshwater relative of the saltwater cod.
Fishlaw, my MN buddies tell me the same thing about how tasty they are. I have never caught any or ate one. What type of structure did you set up on while fishing. Did you move often or camp out and wait?
