I'd love to float the Yampa from Steamboat downstream a few miles, but there isn't any take-outs less than 15+ miles. Does anyone know of any take outs that might be good for a 6-10 mi float. I'm only looking to do this one day a year, so it's not like I'm looking to steal anyone's fishing hole. I love to float fish, but can only afford one short day of floating.
Thanks in advance.

Google earth has no public/private property boundaries. Avoid the trespass ticket....

1) Call a local fly shop. They'll be able to help you. Just remember to stop in and make a purchase for their help.

2) Contact a land owner and get written permission to take out. County assessor's office is the starting line. I know of people that do this on the Colorado; parking, put in, take out, etc...$10. This requires some time and leg work...but the rewards can be amazing.

Once you leave Steamboat's "water", I know of no public access until you're just outside Hayden.
