Goin to fish Yampa,(near steamboat if its fishable) any tips on wat to use for smallies, trout, pike, or cats.
Any info appretiated.

Ya i will fish a pond in craig that has TONS of cats if nothin else.

yes, The water is high now, the water is getting clear though. As for trout, it's still tough but there on the banks, It's catch and release in town, I dont fish them now, by the time you land them in the current, it's hard to revive them., Pike will all be in the backwater areas, you can catch the pike. The smallies and cats are Craig and west only. Not many of those at all around steamboat. If you want to fish anything except trout, go towards hayden and Craig, west of here. If you want trout, Id fish the tailwaters coming out of Stagecoach.Good luck
