do you think parvin has good ice already

I think it will hold you up, but doubt it's much thicker than Dowdy (around 3-4" yesterday afternoon). If you more risk prone, I'd say it's ready. If risk averse, you might want to give it a few days of continued cold temps. I am planning on waiting until later next week to venture out on Parvin.

Hey guys! was at Dowdy today what a good time lol. Hatchmaster couldnt snag your auger sorry! You should have stayed a little longer the bite turned on and got so tired of reelin them in had to stop and massage the old arm. LOL.
Even the newbies caught several. Last count was about 40 fish all safely returned to water.
Looking forward to a good year.

Thanks for trying Grizz. Sorry I missed all the action. Did you guys get any thing of any size? I've never caught any thing out of there bigger than 15". I saw that guy in the shack saying his kid caught a big one.

Hatchmaster We caught two of real good size one went 16" and one 17" both on a light green chartruse ratso with blond meal worm. The kid in the hut caught one that went 17" most of the fish were 10" to 13". We fished approx in 12' of water and danced the jig about 8" from the bottom.
I kid you not the last 30 min every time i put the line in the water i pulled up a fish! Good luck tomorrow at chambers let us know how you did.

Grizz, glad you guys had a good time, were there many people out there? How was the wind? We'll let you know how Chambers was.

John There were probably 10 - 14 people out there. The wind was about 8 mph and gust up to 15 at times. Temp was in the low 20's. Let me know about Chambers and good luck.

Fished Dowdy yesterday 12/3. The bite was good all day must of iced out over 100 bows/browns. No luck on suckers though, I was trying for some laker bait. I was by myself so maybe next time my friends can help me out.

First I can't loose my auger down the hole. I'm just kidding! I read your piece sorry to hear that.  :'( That sucks! Anyway there really was no secret. I drilled two holes all day, one was at 151/2ft. and the other was at 16ft. Most fish I marked were just off the bottom but I still had some that popped up at 10 or so. My most effective bait was prob. a small kasty with the treble hook off about 5to6in. of line tied on to the end of a small orange ratso w/ just a piece of a mealy. Then it was just one after another all day. Good times!  ;D I think the only bad part about it was that after awile every time I unhooked the fish to put it back I had to re-worm up my hands. LOL YA GOTTA LOVE ICE FISHING!

That was me. Where were you on the lake?

Between you and me were the three kids. I was with my girlfriend and we had a sled. We were only there for a little bit. I was the one who made the big PLOP after drilling his first hole. Also on the other side of me was grizz.

Hatchmaster I did see you guys out there for a little, but too bad I missed the PLOP. j/k I almost took a digger myself I forget to put on my ice spikes. I won't make that misstake again!
